Welcome potential sponsors!

A big thank you to all potential sponsors who are considering supporting one or more of the bikers on the 2016 Bike for a Culture of Life Across Wisconsin!!  On the main page you will find the listing of 8 organizations that are being supported this year through the sponsors of the bike trip.

As a sponsor, you can select one or more of these organizations to receive your donation.  If you wish to receive a tax deduction for your contribution, you should make your check out directly to the organization that you are donating to, with the memo at the bottom of the check indication Bike for a Culture of Life.  Give you check to the biker that you are sponsoring, and it will be forwarded to that organization after the trip is completed, along with any other checks from other sponsors.

For more information about the consistent life-ethic that is represented in the Bike for a Culture of Life, see http://www.consistentlifenetwork.org.

Again, we thank you very much for your support for the 2016 Bike for a Culture of Life!

Welcome potential bikers!

Welcome, potential bikers!  You are enthusiastically invited to join the 2016 Bike for a Culture of Life Across Wisconsin.   The bike trip will cover 200 miles in four days, from the Mississippi River at Onalaska (just north of LaCrosse) to Lake Michigan at Kohler-Andrae State Park (just south of Sheboygan).  The ride is not particularly strenuous, covering about 50 miles each day.  Riding the first two days is almost entirely on bike trails, with light grades up and down, on the LaCrosse River Trail, the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and The 400 Trail, with a few “back roads” miles at the end to bring us to Mirror Lake State Park at the close of the second day.  The last two days are almost entirely back roads, lightly traveled, although there are a couple of very short stretches of highway.

There are no fees for this this trip.  All meals and camping fees have been paid, and a sag wagon will accompany the trip to carry camping gear, food, and other necessary items.  You will need to provide your bike, spare tube for your size of bike tire, water bottle, clothes, a sleeping bag and tent (or make arrangements to share a tent), and any snacks and personal items needed for the trip.  You will also need to provide your transportation from your home to the start site in Onalaska, and from the end site at Kohler-Andrae to your home after the trip.  If you need help with transportation, let us know and we may be able to help with these arrangements.

If you wish to bike, please contact Rosie at 608-558-5776 to get your name on the registration list.
